    Default Interesting tournament.

There's a local tournament I was invited to be in called the Hammer Battle of the Brands. It's in February. There are 4 balls only allowed to be used, and you have to declare which one of the four you're using. Then you have to use it for all shots, including spares. 4 game qualifier, cut to top 50%. Then erase all scores and bowl four more. Cut to top 12. Bowl two more, cut to top 5 for step ladder finals. Winner gets $1500.
Entry is $200 which gets you one of the four balls. Drilling is included but inserts / slugs are extra. If you finish in the top 12 you get the choice of one of four different balls plus cash.

They are all EBI owned brands. You have a choice of the Hammer Black Widow Red Solid, Columbia Urge, Track Legion, Ebonite Adrenaline Shot. First three have asymmetric cores, the last symmetric. I'm guessing whatever you pick, it had better be drilled up to go long and just arc instead of snap. They only oil once.

I'm still doing my research on these balls. Leaning towards the Enonite Adrenaline Shot at the moment. At least with the tournament being in Feb, I should be able to get one of these balls at a discount. Its $200 for entry and the ball or $90 for entry if I own the ball already. I'm figuring the weaker the ball the better, as long as I make the first cut. After that the lanes should come to me.

The Track Legend is a close second. It's asymmetric with a polished finish, whereas the Adrenaline Shot has a matte finish. Both are medium oil balls with medium flare potential.
