honestly, for my average, I don't deserve to be averaging this much. I know of several bowlers who are just a few sticks higher than me and are in the 220's who don't practice at all.
If I'm lucky, I get 3 to 8 games every other month. But, some of my "practice sessions" are done at home in front of a mirror and with basic old school training aids - seesaw, weights, etc.... lol I practice my one step drill with a 5lbs kettle bell, for example. I also practice my push-away in front of the mirror, and I review my library of old videos and compare to current videos I take of myself. I look at the bad and the good and try to remember to do the good lol
I would love to be able to have my center to allow me to set up any combination of pins or any single pins I want. But again, I'm just glad my center is still open,

I try to fit whatever I can do at home or at work. Tossing the soft ball with my kids helps me work on release at the same time teach them how to catch lol.
I grew up always practicing at home from other sports I did and my martial arts training. I was taught that practice doesn't end after we leave the court, field, and dojo. (It ended for me a long time ago when a child was born) The coaches and my Sensei always stressed that. Simple movements we do with our arms and hands for driving to eating has meaning to them. and it's also a form of practice. Every move has a purpose, nothing is wasted.
"Practice always, because somewhere out there, there is someone practicing to beat you."
If I actually put in the work for bowling, then I wouldn't suck so bad in different areas of my game. The house conditions I bowl on masks my true skill. That's why I use balls/covers that make me work for hitting my spots or pocket. But without practice too, this way of bowling can create more bad habits..
My home center is full for leagues from 6-10 M-F so it's impossible to get practice during the week there. Sunday mornings work.
I've had to stop practicing for this month. I'm done until January. Fortunately my league is done until next year because of the holidays. Stupid biceps injury from work. Nothing to require the doctor or surgery, just needs rest. But before this I was practicing twice a week
I have not been getting much practice, I have been bowling in 2 leagues but the Friday one is done for the year.
Should probably take a couple weeks off from my other league and rest my thumb, but not sure if I will ....
Is your ball drilled properly? I have a great PSO and I have had zero issues with my hand since he has drilled my equiptment.
I bowl Tuesday's and Thursday's for league. I would like to say I practice Sunday's but that doesn't happen nearly as much as it did a few years ago. I am a golf professional by trade and this keeps me very busy in the Warner months here in Iowa (I also compete in the Iowa PGA events) Bowling has been in my family forever and I just started to bowl again as an adult about 4 years ago. Only the last couple actually trying to be competitive. Once the compatible juices started to flow I tried to learn and practice more. My father was a reginonal pro in NY in the late 70's as a young man but now 60 still has some serious game. I am about 3 hours from him but I wish he could help me with this game as he has taught me most of what I know. I average anywhere between 200 and 210 depending on the league so scratch events on sport patterns are rough for me but in handicap events I have evenness of a chance getting nearly zero pins. Would love to get out of this bowling limbo and compete in both of my passion sports.
Little very very little ha ha ha just so much going on this year. I'm going to try and get the wife out tonight to throw a handful
