During the Doubles show on TV today, there was a great comment from Josh Blanchard when discussing a ball change with his partner, Andres Gomez: "When you throw a bad shot with the right ball in your hand, you get nine. When you throw a bad shot with the wrong ball in your hand, you get six." How true!
Were all these shows taped in the same week or two?
On tough conditions many times you throw GOOD shots with the wrong ball in your hand and still have issues.
Great quote. There were a lot of counts below 9 in those step-ladder finals. Couldn't believe Belmo choked on a shot where all he needed was a mark to advance the team.
I'd love to try out the oil pattern they were using. It was fun to watch Belmo struggle to get his ball turning correctly at the breakpoint.
