Thread: What do you you use to wipe off your ball?

Default What do you you use to wipe off your ball?

I've noticed recently that besides the various towels, kitchen towels, hand towels, and bowling towels, I have noticed a number of bowlers using towel substitutes, many of them are using kitchen hot pads / pot holders and even saw one guy using an oven mitt !
Are any of you seeing this trend ?

I use microfiber towels. I can't say I've seen anything else used besides a towel. I am intrigued by those who have mentioned using a chamois cloth - may give that a try at some point.

Pot holders often have a terry cloth side, so I can see that working. Oven mitt though??? Wow.

I have 2 Costco micro fiber towels in my bag, 1 for wiping mid game and 1 for cleaning post bowling.

The cooking accessories are new to me. However, I have a micro fiber mitt for washing my car that might do a better job the an oven mitt...either way, I'lll stick to my current setup.

No actual pot holders or oven mitts.

But there are cleaning pads that look like pot holders and oven mitts like:

    Brunswick Microfiber Dot Towel
    The leather pads
    BB.coms Monster Microfiber Pad

    Master Moos Mitt
    Master Bowling Ball Skuf Mitt
    Microfiber Car wash mitt

I have a Storm Leather shammy as well and they are great. They pick up oil way better than a towel.

Brunswick Leather Shammy pad. Does way better than any towel I've used.

They were colored like the Brunswick Microfiber Dot towels are in the ad's but I thought they were pleated like old fashioned pot holders. I will look closer next time, they are probably the Brunswick ones.
I was getting ready to see if I had some extra ones in the kitchen ! Next time I bowl the guys who were using them I am going to bring a regular flowered pot holder and throw it on the little table where all that stuff is and not say anything ....

Come on, get out the car wash mitt, it doesn't get used that much so you might as well re-purpose it !

The mitt is for a "nice" car haha...I'll pass on the lane grime transfer lol.

For those that use a mitt, do they keep it on their off-hand while bowling so they don't have to keep taking it on and off? I hope so...that would be very entertaining to see.
