    Default Annual local meeting

We just had our yearly local assn. meeting. Attendance was as usual. One in a thousand attended. I think this is the norm. Could it be that is part of the problem? Seems to be just like league organizational meetings. Few show up but many are willing to complain.

WHEN IS THE LAST TIME YOU ATTENDED YOUR LOCAL ASSN ANUAL MEETING?

I think it was back in 2009 or 2010. The only reason I went was because our league secretary wanted to bowl in the league officer's doubles tournament, held on the the same day as the meeting as an enticement to attend the meeting. Oddly enough, he forgot about the tournament and didn't show up.

All the many answers to this really sheds some light on the problem. Let the suckers who volunteer do the work I don't have time.

Last time was a couple of seasons ago.

But I've done my share over time, beside just going to assoc. meetings. I've been the League representative to the Assoc. Along with being League President, Vice President and Sgt. of Arms for several seasons each. (Along with being team Capt. on virtually every team I've been on.) as well as being on the prize committee.

As for league organizational meetings, of the leagues I've been most all are well attended. Usually at least by all team captains and some of the players. (leagues are usually approx. 32 teams). and I participate in the meetings making proposals etc.

Great now if there is anything you don't like you are allowed to complain. The rest must shut up!

Yeah when I went it was my first time there and it was interesting (if a little depressing) to hear the state of the local chapter, plans for the next year, etc. There wasn't a whole lot of complaining in general from the crowd.

I'm sorry to say this, but I have never gone to our local chapter meeting.

I've never been to one, but I think most of ours are during the day...most of us have to work in order to bowl.

I think ours is usually on a Sunday afternoon, so it doesn't conflict with any leagues and most work schedules.
