Just IMO I think the cleaning the ball between frames idea does make a difference. At least maybe for a mid-range average bowler, A higher average bowler might not really see the difference.

Is a leather shammy greater than TPS or any cleaner? From what I've seen so far the leather shammy is better at removing surface oil than say a microfiber towel.

Cleaners like TPS are better at getting into the surface texture though, like the pores and sanding grooves.

Using a cleaner between frames I think is a little more work (and you can use a lot of product) and unless you have some really dirty lanes/heavy oil I think it would be over kill.

I think my idea of cleaning every frame with a leather shammy and then using a cleaner between Games, Would be a reasonable compromise and strong cleaning regimen and should give similar results.
