Thread: Octane Burn Review

    Default Octane Burn Review

Built for light to medium oil, the Octane Burn provides more length than the Forza Redline and the Venom Panic, while delivering a strong backend motion.

For the typical bowler, the Octane™ Burn will be a great piece to switch to when the house shot breaks down and friction levels increase. This is a ball built to play the burn. Competitive bowlers may like this new Burn edition of the Octane better than the original because the transition at the backend is slightly more controlled so shot consistency is improved.

    Review:

It's time to Get MOTIVated with the NEW Octane Burn. I drilled my new Octane burn with my favorite layout drilled 75X4.5X40. This is one the most angular balls I have ever thrown by Motiv! This ball gets down the lane with a sharp angular motion on the back end. This ball allows me to play the deepest part of the lane on drier/brokendown conditions without sacrificing pin carry. Comparing to the original Octane, Original Octance gets much more length with good recovery in the back end but it more sensitive to Oil. Octance Burn picks up sooner in the midlane while still providing great length but still very angular in the backend. This has become my new "IN" ball when the lanes get drier and drier and force me to play deep inside angles on the burn. Another winner by Motiv, this is a must have in the bag!!!! Get MOTIVated!!!!

If the Octane Burn is for the "burn" then what are the Tag, Apex and Rebel Tank for? The Octane Burn is rated for heavier oil than all of those. I foolishly pre-ordered the Burn only to find out it is actually too strong for the burn.

You are absolutly right the burn is not for the burn. It is way to strong for drier conditions.
