    Default Notes' 2016 bowling scores

I bowl twice a week, Wednesday 4 member mixed teams, Thursday 5 man men's league. Average is right at 195 currently. High game 279, high series 731.

I would go back a couple weeks when I had a really good 2 weeks of bowling, 639/629/655/648 series, but I can't remember the games specifically, so I will just start with this week I suppose.

    Wednesday, 3/23/2016 - 195/165/195 - 552
    Thursday, 3/24/2016 - 211/245/195 - 651

I got a new ball 3 weeks ago and finally bowled a good game with it. Recently decided to become a mark shooter instead of a pin shooter, and I think it's really going to help my game.

Decent week I guess. Wednesday our team won 6/8 and had a chance to sweep but lost the last game by 11. I shot 207-215-194 for a 616, beating the opposing anchor by one pin in series. Would have been nice to take all 8 from a top team but 6/8 ain't bad.

Last night I bowled pretty bad for game 1 and 2 but picked it up a bit for the third. After losing my first 2 games head to head I was on a mission. Had the front 6 in game three and got ****ed on a ringing 10 on a beautiful pocket shot. I was smelling 300! Anyways, ended up shooting a 234, managed to win the game by enough to beat my opponent in totals. So we split after a terrible start to my night. Ended up with 179/169/234 for a 582. What's funny is I was still alive in one bracket after the first game. I was very surprised because this is a league chock full of awesome bowlers. Well after the second game I thought for sure I was out. A 169 scratch/199 total should not put me through to the third game of a bracket in that league, but a scratch bowler bowled a 182! Then of course I had the 234 scratch for 264 total and the guy I faced has no handicap and shot a 267, beating me by 3. Plus, the second game I bowled, I lost to my opponent by one measley pin.

I love this game and all its quirks, highs, lows and everything in between
