I'm cashing in my change to get another ball drilled. Then I'm taking the $$ from league and buying a nice ball spinner.
That is one thing ive always wanted is a ball spinner. Were are you getting it from? How much do they cost?
Check out www.vertexbowling.com. They have a 1/2 horsepower spinner for the cost of others that are are 1/3 or 1/4 HP. Little over $200
Thanks for the thread.
I have one of the 1/3 hp Vertex ball spinners and it has paid for itself
with what I have saved on the pro shop ball spinner charges and what
I've made with it doing other bowlers ball refinishing and cleaning and
polishing.
Even though it is only the 1/3 hp model I've never been able to make
it bog down no matter how much pressure I put on it all it does is it
keeps on going like normal.

Maybe added a few dollars to the spinner fund tonite. After two weeks of killing the pocket and getting next to nothing, I broke thru with a 703 and 762 with handicap. We did blind-doubles tonite so they will draw names tonite and let us know next week at the banquet. Hopefully get paired with someone who did well.
I'm sure a 1/3 HP motor is good enough, but if I can get a 1/2 HP for the same price, I'm going with it. I just have too many balls and too much money invested to not take care of the surface of said equipment. Add some $$ for pads and polishes, and it's all good.
And that 703 was with two splits in each game ! Two pocket 7-10's in game one, two 2-10's in game two after a bad ball change. 2-10, 3-10 in game three. Strikes or nothing tonite.
