Been a couple weeks since I last updated.

I had to miss the last week of Mens Thursday night bowling but the following week was the Roll Off (Which we missed by 3 points). The remaining people could enter a handicap sweeper mini tournament. I shot 765 with 36 pins of handicap and got 2nd. The guy who won had the exact same scratch score but had more handicap and beat me by 24 pins.

Monday night league. I have been slumping in this league over the last 2 weeks as my average of 245 has been slowly going down as the weeks go by. I was down to a 228 last week but shot a 233, 275, 202 to shoot 710. My average is back up to 229.66. My goal is to keep it above 230 but realistically I would like at least a 225.

I also need to finally contact a coach which I keep telling myself I am going to do every week. Just seems like the weeks keep slipping by.

J..... I've seen too many balls come out of that shop questionably drilled wrong. A pin down ball typically starts rolling earlier than a pin up ball. It depends on who's drilling it (I bowl in the same league as you, so I know who's who) and what you tell them. Unfortunately, you have to be very specific as to what you want the ball to do and you really should do some homework for yourself and figure out what you want the ball do do. The internet is full of information from pro shops across the country that'll set you on the right track.

jconner, tampabayBob is a great coach and went to the pro shop there with me and told them how to drill my ball....I used it today for the first time and it does just what he said it would. If you need a coach in tampa you found Bob!

That is so weird because when the pin was down below my fingertips it did not move one bit and was late if anything even though they said it was one of the strongest drillings. I went to BCB and had it redrilled to pin over and it moves exactly how I want it. Thank you for the information and I will definitely do some more homework on drillings!

Jconner, tampabaybob has brought me a long way in 3 weeks. My ball is moving and carrying like never before, He worked on my release , timing and concentration. I am impressed with myself now. matter of fact we just came from a session, my confidence level is great now and it's nice to know what your doing wrong and be able to correct it quickly.

Started a new Thursday summer league at Oakfield with an interesting format. It is 4 bowlers with the first game being singles against the other team, then doubles the second game, then team score the third game. I ended up bowling a 233-234-248 for a 715. I missed two 10 pins with the second one coming in the 10th frame of the 248 3rd game. I was not thrilled at how I ended that but you can't really be mad at a 715. Be amazing what I could do if I actually woke up early on sundays to go practice.

    Monday Night Summer League:

I bowled a 234 - 249 - 232 to shoot a 715 series. I opened in the 10th of the last game which was really my only bad miss of the night other than a brooklyn strike in the 10th frame of the second. The brooklyn ball got out way too early and then snapped hard. That actually won us the game though LOL I was so embarrassed. My last three league nights have been 710-716-715 so I can't really complain other than a missed 10 pin. I usually miss one or two of those a night. Have yet to get a 800 but I can feel it coming.
