Tried my new spinner

I bought a 1/2 HP Innovative Spinner, plus Abralon pads and compound and polish. Tried an old retired ball ( retired due to lane damage that wasn't repairable). I used 180, 360, 500, and 1000 grit Abralon pads, Vise Compound and Vise Polish. Ball looks amazing! It sits on my dresser between two bowling pins and looks great.
The spinner is easy to use and is quiet. I'm going to hit a few more balls and try them out tomorrow. Curious to see how the surface changes will affect the ball.

Need to get to bed! Did 5 more balls, two for the Mrs. and three for myself. My Brunswick Melee Cross was the biggest surprise. It looks like factory new. That ball picks up belt marks that makes it look like I'm bowling in tar. I also took my Brunswick Ringer Platinum Pearl up to 2000 grit and compound and polish and it looks amazing. Hope to see how they work now.

Suggestion:
You might want to keep track of the surface changes (and steps used) you make for each ball and note the reactions you get with those surfaces. What works on what condition etc.

Love my spinner. Be sure to write down the difference surfaces you are using on what balls and the success you have. You would surprised how you may forget what surface worked in a years time.

Again, my spinner is my personal obsession. I got a high powered top of the line one that really does the job. Well, that's back when I won 50k so it was good timing.

Agree with others on taking notes on changes you made. Now that you can experiment with surface, will be nice to be able to tweak them and perfect them for the conditions you bowl on.

Thanks for the advice. I'll keep a log of what I've done. So far I've only changed the surface of my Pearl Ringer. Everything else I've taken to OOB finish the best I could. Wanted to hit the lanes today but my body said stay home.

Another thing with the Abralon pads is if you have a spray bottle handy
put some water in it and spray the ball as you are sanding it to help
make them last longer.

They will last a lot longer than if you try to use them when they are dry
as they do not clog up as bad when wet. I always spray the pad first then
I'll spray the ball a couple of times while sanding on it on each side.

Another suggestion take a maker a place a mark on the back of the pad to keep track of how many times you used it.

Becarful when applying pressure. I've seen guys put too much pressure than needed. You don't need heavy pressure to change the surface.

Also, I use water to keep the dust down.
And as far as notes go...... I have it stored in my iPhone to keep track. I only own 6 balls, not including my spare 2 balls, that I work the surface with. It's not much, But I forget.

Best part of owning a spinner, you can save a whole lot of money. I only buy balls now because I'm a whore, I don't need them. I'll use them for a bit then sell them.....

I'm lucky as to where my spinner is because I have a sink with running water available. I did all the surface work with wet pads, plus washed the pads out and have them outside to dry. I did almost all my balls over the last two days, plus all the balls of my family. Can't even imagine how much that would have cost me at the pro shop. Think I did 11 balls. Even at $20 a ball I saved over $200. Guess I'll have to buy some more balls to celebrate!
