Time to buy shoes?

Hi there,


I am in the market for some better bowling shoes and am interested in the Brunswick TPUs. I have read that Brunswick did not renew the manufacturing contract for these so they are going away. My spidey-sense tells me that may be an opportunity for a good deal on these well reviewed shoes as inventory clearouts begin. I haven't seen much yet. Am I wasting time waiting?

While the TPU's are no longer under the Brunswick name, they've been rebranded under some other companies names.

Like the Pyramid HPX, also a Hammer version so if you what tpu's you can get them under the other names

You might find Brunswicks on clearance though, just have to check prices and compare to the others.

I got some new shoes like three years ago and they never got to the slide point my old as dirt second hand Dexter Jason's are at so I just out new laces in and kept the old one lol. My teammate had the same problem but his started after some time to slide good for him. One day I'll buy a new set but it will be a high end with changeable pads but if you find a set on a deal and want them pull the trigger!

I got my Dexter Tanks about 6 months ago for $129 which I thought was a really good deal. They felt a bit heavy at first but you get used to them pretty quickly.

Have you ever stepped in some water with your shoes and then almost killed yourself on the approach? The only way to go is with interchangeable pads. Problem solved and you don't have to wear house shoes till yours dry out.

The first pair I ever owned was a pair of Ridell, and they were the first and only shoe company to make the changeable soles. That was about 1962 or 63. They lasted until the 80's when I switched to Dexter. A good pair of Dexters can last you at least 10 years. To me best shoe on the market.

4 Months ago I went with the ST6. I slide with the heel and the inter-changeable sliders have been a blessing. I was jamming the left knee and these have helped considerably. The come with 2 combinations and more are available. We have warmed up in Vegas and the lanes are getting a little tacky, so the change to a different slide pair has shown to be a good deal.
