Default What is the luckiest strike you ever seen or had?

I was open bowling with some friends this afternoon and I had the luckiest strike ever. I wish I had video of it. I threw a terrible shot, missed way right and left a 1,2,4,10 washout. Somehow the 4 pin just barely tipped over and took out the 2, then the 2 slowly tipped forward and took out the 1 and then the 1 unbelievably rolled and took out the 10 right before the pin setter came down. I've never seen anything like that before.

You certainly aren't alone with this one!

It's happened to me around six times in the past 6 months or so where I too got too far right, not close to the head pin, hitting the 3 and then watching the dominoes fall. Last time that happened was 2 weeks ago during my PBA Experience league.

I also had a teammate on Wednesdays during the Winter season do it a couple of times as well, but he has zero hook. He just gets up there and lets it fly, and a couple of times the pins were flying like the fighter jets here at Nellis AFB, and without being near the head pin he's got a strike.

    Crazy stuff! lol

My teammate was up to bowl and as he started his slide he stuck and went face first into the floor. the ball just fell out of his hand went down lane and as he was getting up it came in slower then normal but still took the rack out.

I have seen my girlfriend get 3 strikes with not even close to hitting the head pin. I never even knew it was possible until she did it a couple months ago. She uses a 8 lb ball.

In 2014, in my fourth week of league after a 20 year layoff, I had the front 6. Frame seven I barely hit the right side of the headpin, and it looked like I was going to leave the dreaded 2-8-10. A pin came out of the pit and hit the back of the 8 pin, which fell into the two. The 6 pin took three swipes at the 10 pin, hitting it all three times and finally toppled it.
I buried the next 5 for my first 300 in over two decades, and it was the last one thrown while the owner of the house was still alive and present. He died a few weeks after from a long battle with cancer.

A friend of mine who bowled leagues occasionally was a straight thrower with lots of power and little accuracy. Would throw it 20-25mph. A few times he hit just the ten pin with the ball and somehow hit it hard enough at the right angle to send it back onto the deck and knock em all down.

It's happened a couple times where I go in light/flat and leave a 7-10, but one pin manages to roll around and knock over first the 7, then the 10. Split to strike!

When I first came back from my 4-5 year layoff of bowling we played a team a couple weeks into a league and he had the front 11. His 12th shot went straight through the nose/brooklyn and left something ugly on the right side. A pin came out of nowhere and knocked everything down. To this day I still cant believe it and we joke about it every now and then lol

LOL I've seen that video before. That isn't luck, that's divine intervention when pins fall from the heavens to knock pins down.
