I averaged 209 in my THS league on all wooden lanes and approaches. Original 1962 wood lanes too. Right now I'm averaging 167 in my sport league. It was 170 until that wonderful performance. Not a big fan of Alcatraz, that's for sure. Went 6-24 for three weeks on that pattern. I went with an asymmetric polished DV8 Ruckus Schizo for all four games tonite. 165,150,166,168. One win, three losses.
I threw around the 10 board for the first two games. Last two I moved inside and got more around the ball. Threw between 3rd and 4th arrow out to around 12. Couldn't get anything going, but as a feeble excuse, it's pretty good after working 9 hours without a break in 93 degree heat, then going home to cook dinner for the family before bowling. I was really tired

What would happen if you played around the 6-8 boards and trying to play straight down the lane ???
Was there oil there and could you find a line there...

If you got one board outside of six, it was either a 3 count or in the channel. First two games I was keeping it inside of 10 and outside of 6. Just couldn't get any kind of a consistent reaction. This pattern is done. Thank goodness
