Default Would you bowl this tournament?

In January there's a tournament at an old wooden lanes house where I threw my first 300 as a junior back in the 1980's. This tournament starts with 5 games on a long-oil sport pattern then they re-oil with a sport-shot short-oil pattern. No step-ladder finals. Top scratch pinfall after 10 games wins. $100 entry. Top prize is like $2000, one shift, maximum of 80 bowlers.

Sounds interesting, but where's the rest of the money going?? Linage is probably $25-30 so leaving $70-75.

It's $5000 in prizes, $3000 to the house which works out to $3.75 a game plus the expense of oiling twice. Guessing it would take 8 hours to get all the bowling in. Also guessing there will be side pots and jackpots.

LyalC52. I agree it would be fun. BUT, I don't know about cream rising to the top as on wood lanes it may be frustration. Especially if they are old enough to soak up the
oil quickly. Still would be fun if the entrants are sociable.

Sounds similar to one of the 3 Challenge events during the South Point Senior Shootout coming up in mid November.

Yes. Where is it at? Or better yet can/would you email a flyer or info? bowlerz_score@yahoo.com
I'm sure I could get about ten bowlers to go if it's close enough.

And which center, what date, etc. Thank you for providing nothing to this particular conversation other than stating the location he lists here. Is that where he grew up seeing as he shot there in juniors? Not to mention how many centers in Canton?
