Sweeper week.

204/205/225 = 634. 3 opens on the night (10, 4-10, and a 4-5). Another 5 10-pins left to bring the season total to 174 (148 made). Yeah, fine, I made my average. Woo hoo. Only good thing about last night was I got into blind doubles, and my partner shot 777, so we pocketed $75 each. Season done, time to go shooting. I'm going to put every effort into dropping my arsenal down to 14 lbs. by the start of next year. 51 years in this sport is taking its toll. Time to lighten the load...

Thanks! Got the second of my 14 lb. arsenal now. Phaze AI, and an Attention Star. I want to back those with a Phaze II, and possibly a Sniper for a spare ball. Next year should be interesting!

The move to 14 lb. is pretty much complete. The new arsenal is as follows--

Storm Phaze AI, Storm Phaze II, RotoGrip Attention Star, and a Storm Mix for spares. Really wanted the Silver Sniper, but it got discontinued before I had the chance. The Mix is still urethane, so it'll go on a dry, or one of those f**k it shots....

Finally got out to give these rocks a try--

193/122/219 = 534. In order...

Started with the Phaze II, just because I wanted to see what kind of beast this was. As advertised. Went 4 frames with it, and couldn't keep it off the nose (they put out our house shot for us). Put 'er away, and finished with the Phaze AI.
Phaze AI--This ball would be your benchmark, but my hunch is you're not going all 3 with it, Checked up a little earlier then I expected for a pearl, but it is brand new. This one stays in the bag for Mondays.
Attention Star--This is the ball that scared me, and with good reason. First shot I threw, I heard one of my teammates behind me say "holy s**t". Nothing but a straight-up hockey stick. Made a couple hits, but pretty sure this one will sit right next to the II in the "tournament" bag. Try to get this thing to behave is the cause of the game 2 low score.
Lethal Venom--This was the one I was looking forward to, and the reason I waited until game 3 to bring it out. This could very well be an all-night ball. Smooth as silk, with a serious punch at the end, but not uncontrollable. Closed game 3 with 7 straight, and I was dead-*** tired, but this ball stayed right where you put it. I can see some big things coming from it. Going to let it lane shine for a few weeks to see if it changes much, and then decide if I leave it as is, or i polish it, which is where most of my solid stuff ends up. this will be the other in the weekly bag.
Mix--It's a spare ball. No movement on this, which was an issue from time to time with the Rebel Tank. My concern is if I'm leaving a 6-10, I'm going to have to be careful throwing this, or I can see the 6 still standing...

All in all, think these were some pretty solid picks. looking forward to week 1!
