Week 12
We were bowling on the end pair for this week which isn't the best pair for carry in the house but not the worst either. First game had a good look but had a little trouble getting a couple corner pins out and leaving (2) 10 pins and (1) 7 pin. Shot 258
Second game I have no excuses aside from lack of mental focus. Left (3) 10 pins on the right lane (picking up only 1/3) and a left a 4-10 on the left lane and missing both to shoot 191.
Thirds game more of the same for the right lane leaving 3 single pins (two 10s and a 6) but converting all of them. Second ball of the 10th I went through the nose rewarding me with a 4 count and leaving the 3-4-6-7-9-10 which I then converted to shoot 229.

Second game by average has been rough for me this season as the transition hits. So far in this league I have had 6 games under 200, and 5 of those 6 came in the second game. My game by game average tells the tell of my issues game 2.Originally Posted by Sche3067
Week 13
If I had two words to describe bowling tonight I would use inconsistent and rough. Our center is 24 lanes in the main house and they built on 8 additional lanes for cosmic/ boutique bowling. The lanes themselves are many years newer and play a world of a difference. Tonight wasn't any different... Shot my lowest set of the season.
First game, I start with back to back corner pin leaves and then found some carry to shoot 223 with an open in the 8th (2-4-8-10).
Second game the wheels began to fall off as I saw my carry start to go away. Knowing my 2nd game by average has been my lowest this season i told myself to get though it and make up for it the 3rd game. Shot 192 with an open in the 5th (1-2-5-10) and 4 single pin leaves.
Last game was much of the same 3 single pin spares, back to back 2-8 leaves and then a 2-8-10 in the 7th frame. To shoot 186.
Overall my strike % was down tonight (50%) from my season average of 66%. I was 10/10 on single pins, 3/4 multi pins (1-2-5-10 Miss) and 0/2 on splits.
I'll chalk it up as a bad night and come back strong next week.

Monday night league. (5th man sub)
I subbed in league tonight and had a decent. A couple missed spares in game 3 hurt a bit but over all I can't complain.
Came out first game with 257 shooting the back 7 after a couple spares.
Towards the end of the second game I saw the carry was in the process of going away and would need to make a move. Although i was striking, I was getting late or soft 10 pin falls. End up with 237.
Third game I blew a couple spares which ultimately cost me another 230+ game. 3rd frame I miss the ball at the release and came in light leaving the 2-8 to then follow it up with pocket ringing 10 pins the next 3 out of 4 frames. To add to it, missing 2/3 of the 10 pins. Finished with the back 5 to salvage a 213.

Week 14
Another league night in the book and same story different day for game 2. Next week I will try something slightly different to see if I can get the carry percentage up for that game.
Game one was solid aside from a light shot frame 2 to leave the 2-8-10. Shot 224
Game two started well with a double then I left a pocket 7-9 (there were a couple on that lane tonight so assuming bad rack at times). Followed that with another double then the carry came into play with spares the next 4 frames. Ended with 198
Third game more of the same carry issues frames 1 though 5. After the 5th I made a ball change to some polished equipment and throw the next 5 strikes. Came in a little high 2nd ball of the 10th leaving the 4 pin. Spared it up to shoot 236

League from Monday Night
I am a "5th man" sub for this league but got to shoot again Monday.
First game came out strong and was looking good going into the 9th after stringing a few. Came in a little light and left the 7 pin. Converted and moved to the 10th. Same result with a little light leaving another 7 pin. On the spare shot I missed it at the release and the call went right next to the pin without hitting it. Finished with 236
Second game is where I have struggled this year over all fighting transition. Since I came in light the last 2 shots I made an adjustment and moved a little too much. Came in high leaving the 3-6-9-10, then chopping the 3-6-10 off. Stayed clean the rest of the game and made a ball change in the 6th to something to pick up a little better in the mid lane. Finished 197
Third game I had a ringing 10 pin in the first frame, then throw the next 8 strikes to ring another 10 the first ball of tenth. Spared it up and struck final shot for 269.
