Default Welcome back to bowling! How'd your first night go?

It's been a long summer and until last night I hadn't picked up a ball since throwing a 759 in April.

Ended up shooting 568 (195 clean, 204, 169). I have to get my thumb holes all redone because of weight loss and didn't bother to "realize" this until last night. I used so much tape that it ripped the crap out of my thumb. By the third game, my thumb was a mess. A 568 isn't great, but I was 100% on single pins and only missed one non-split spare (1-3-9).

All in all, glad to be back bowling and on the boards here!

Two weeks back now ( we start early ). 609, 594. Nothing under 193, nothing over 204. Consistently boring start.

Consistency is good. My whole summer league I had series between 490-515 in I think 9 of the 12 weeks. Two in the low 400s and one in the 540s. I like consistency.

First night of winter league went well for me. 177-171-159=507 Could have been better with two tenth frames open but ah well. In a league where new bowlers have to use a 180 average and the new guy we have is around 125-130 we took 3 out of 4 points so I'll take that any day.

Started with a 595. My goal is a 10 pin jump in average this year (ended last year at 184). I didn't miss a single 10 pin all night. If I can keep that up, I think I will be in good shape.

First week back and I started with a 259, 259 and a 183 for my first ever "official" 700 series... Now my handicap is shot, as my "Book average" is only 197...
