Looked at Earl Anthony video last night as he was left-handed, and decided to change my six step approach to a four step approach.
Got my trusty Ebonite Tornado and went to the lanes. Spent several frames and games trying to coordinate steps and swing. Last four games:
142
151
137
143
Struck out the last Tenth frame and called it a day.Which is much better than last time. My Tornado does not hook much, and from what I read it is mostly for drier lanes and slow rev rates. Of course, I have no idea if the lanes are dry or not, nor do I know what rev rate is.
Notes:
It is hard to get it to curve much but when I throw it harder and it hits the pocket it does pretty well.
I think I do better with my wrist cocked some.
Also worked on bending my knees a little and holding the ball up about chest high between chin and shoulder.
Also benefited, I believe, from leaning forward as I approach as it gives me forward momentum and seems to help rhythm.
Strikes: Avg 2.5 per game
Spares: Avg 3.75 per game
Splits: Avg .75 per game
