Almost 300 (not really but....)

Wow that's still a high strike count. If your bowling like this on the regular then it's only a matter of time before every one falls into place for you.

I track my Wednesday scores in the Scoring Sub-Forum and it's up and down. Been good the last few nights. Just trying to get more consistent with my release and the scores should follow. I don't expect a 245 every game but would be ecstatic with a 200+ season league average

That was back before THS, and resin, when they would come out and inspect the lanes, pins, oil, and the ball before recognizing the honor scores.

It was even before automatic scoring was in the area.

That sounds almost laughable now. In our center there are probably 300 scores at least 3-4 times a month if not more. I have come to appreciate 800 series vs 300 games more. It is a LOT harder to get 800's than 300's

I remember those days being on the USBC board and being one of the lane inspectors
at that time having to go and check the lanes, weigh the pins, and pull tape on the oil
pattern, and to make sure the ball was within specs right after the game(s) or series
were bowled before an honor score was recognized.

Keep it up and you will. All of us has something we need to work on to get better. If you don't know yours watch video of your self bowling my guess is you already know what you need more work on

Would 20 in a row mean you threw 9 consecutive Varipapa 300's?
1 thru 12, 2 thru 13, 3 thru 14, etc.

Hmm....... never thought of it that way maybe so maybe I can be like
Andy Varipapa and add 9 more 300's to me collection. LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did the same thing last night. Started 2nd game with a pair of 10 pins, changed balls and left a mixer 7. Punched out with last 9 for a 268 game. Started next game with first 3 before leaving a 10 pin.
