Hello folks my name is Dan and I am from Leamington Ontario Canada. I have 1 1/2 years of bowling experience and I had to take a year off because of health reasons so I am back to stinking. I really am a beginner to say the least. The reason why I got into it was because it looked fun and easy, turns out neither was true lol. But we have a good bunch of folks that I bowl with and they try to help. I bowl Thursday night Mixed league aat Empire Lanes in Kingsville. I bowl with a 15lb Brunswick Crown Jewel which I bought second hand. It is a plastic ball and I am looking to add a non plastic one soon hopefully. Anyway any tips etc to help me break 100 I will appreciate it. Like I said I stink right now lol.

Since i can only speak of Brunswick balls, the Rhino line is their entry level ball and they're pretty darn good.

You may also want to consider getting a coach to work on your game as well, because it certainly won't hurt.

I don't know how far you are from Barrie, Ontario, but I do know a good coach from there.

Thanks for the advice. I am leaning towards a Rhino as I see many people in my league have them. I thought they must be good but I know for sure that just because everyone has one it does not maake it good lol. I had a bad habit of being too straight and rigid and Thursday night I learned to be a lot more fluid in my approach. Plus who knew that a follow through was so darn important. Not this guy lol but I am learning more. Has for Barrie? Well it is about 4 hours from me to the North. I live 45 minutes directly south of Detroit Michigan.

Even though there's a lot of good advice here, I would find a certified coach on your area and work with him/her. It'll cost a few $$ for a few lessons, but it will be well worth it.

Well I got a new ball and it took a few games to get use to it but it is working well for me. It is a Track 715T. I like it and it has help improved my average from 60 (stop laughing) to a 90 (I said stop laughing). I also practise more and my girlfriend is now my coach.

Girlfriend...Coach...Terrifying! Find a Certified Coach and learn how to bowl.

First is your ball a fingertip? have you watched any youtube videos on how to release a fingertip ball? they have great slow motion videos on the release of a finger tip ball. After you get that down then worry about your line and spot...IMO.. We/I have no idea of what or how you are throwing the ball. ..Keep that plastic ball because if you get to hooking you will need the plastic for corner pin spares..On another note I can't seem to find a Track 715t. I have a Track Heat, Does your ball have a name? .Oh and for sure Welcome to this great site it has helped me so much!!!!!!
