    Hmm...maybe it depends on the part of NYC, since Queens doesn't border Jersey. When I lived in Manhattan and Brooklyn I mostly heard it called Jersey.

    Here on LI you hear both but Jersey I hear much more.

    I bowled in Brooklyn, Queens and Long Island and it was always Jersey anywhere. If I remember correctly when the Tour was on TV on Sunday afternoon 40 years ago they also called crossing over Brooklyn. Down here they laugh when I yell Jersey and if I go through the nose they ask and I say that was Connecticut...lol
