Default Why is the PBA squeezing in majority of their majors all in the February

Literally three straight weeks in February. Why not spread it around a bit. It's not like they're all at the same venue. Unless it's because of cheaper TV rates

Yeah I noticed that too. I'm considering going to the one in Columbus. It is about a 3hr drive but the closest one to that is on the schedule. I have yet to be able to make a PBA event.

Don't know why they are doing it, but because of the long formats and being so close together, no one will win a triple crown in one season ever. Not that it's ever been done before, but the way it's set up now, forget it.

I'm guessing it's because it's falling in between most of the major sporting events. Bowling on TV is nowhere near as popular as it was in the 70s and 80s.

The archives: Ebonite Grey Wolf (first 300), Red Wolf (first 700). Just can't let them go.

It may also be a financial thing for the players too especially International players. Imagine the cost for Belmo if he had to fly roundtrip back and forth from Australia for each major.

February is a sports dead spot. Football is over, hockey & basketball are in the boring parts of there seasons, baseball didn't start yet, and its before March madness. The only worse sporting time is during the summer where TV viewership is usually much lower in general.

Yea but for those who get a minor injury around that time they are screwed and will miss all the majors where the money is. If they were spread out once every month they could heal.

That's probably the right answer. Cheaper to air. Of course the cheapest rate would be Super Bowl Sunday

Almost sure its because nothing is really on in February. NFL ends at the beginning, and the only other thing that comes on is in Late February which is Nascar (Daytona 500) so almost sure its because its probably the cheapest time to do it.

Honestly I havent watched bowling on TV in many years. Seems like when I was a kid my grandma was watching it on tv every saturday but not anymore. Sucks since I would love to show my kids instead of having them watch old videos on youtube.
