Then there is the guy giving advise on things that their profile shows they have no idea about according to their skill level.
And where have I given advice that my skill level shows I know nothing about? I could know a great deal about lane types, oils, where to throw a ball etc... but still not be good at bowling myself. I also know a great deal about racing setups for dirt track cars. How to set cambers and toes on karts for racing. How to build racing motors, but when it comes to actually driving the karts or cars I am not that great at it, however my kids are exceptional. Yet I still know the ins and outs of racing to teach them how to be better drivers.

Yoda take it easy. I only mentioned the profile because I was curious. When a bowler says they just bought a bunch of new balls and is always bowling in scratch tournaments I think they must have some knowledge or skill. Then I look at their profile and they are a 172 average bowler. Others talk about owning dozens of balls and winning tournaments and use 12 lb. balls. I would just like to know who I am listening to. Many times my BS meter goes off.
    Examples
When you say around here it would be nice to know where around here is.

Then you get the ball experts arguing about all technicalinal stuff and neither bowl worth a ****.

My pro shop guys are both 230 plus average bowlers. That doesn't mean they know what kind of ball I need without seeing me bowl. They are just good bowlers and 30-40 years younger than I am.

Did you know that if you ask bowl.com they will remove your name from the web site?

The only thing Yoda did was have a typo about his average that made my BS meter go off. I basically agreed with his post.

    Default PBA majors

Why are all the PBA majors being contested in Feb? Why not spread them out one a month?

That's interesting. good question for the PBA.
on a side note: are they televised?
I just got back into bowling and it seems like I'm always watching it online and know the winners. are they live on tv?

Some are on TV, some are on Xtra Frame, some are not aired at all. If you go here http://www.pba.com/Television they list all the televised events

For the last few years PBA events, at least the ones on ESPN, have been recorded in a relatively short time span and then broadcast over the next month or two. I don't know about the summer broadcasts on CBSSPORTS. The only ways to see the events live are to subscribe to Extra Frame or to go and see the event in person.
