I bought some new equipment the last few years. This year I'm doing something else. Don't know what.

I doubt I'll ever make any money bowling, but if I did I would buy new equipment....nothing sounds better than beating other bowlers with a ball they helped pay for!

Most people in leagues don't make any money. I will have paid out $594 in league dues this year. Not much of a drinker but I can see other people grabbing a few beers a night. Prize funds basically never cover league dues but I'll be happy to get 75% of it back.

But I had fun and basically all that really matters. $18/week isn't going to kill me.

Not making any money on it... but I consider the weekly amount a sunk cost. Anything coming back at the end is a "bonus" mentally.

When you talk about getting you money back you should only count the prize money not the linage in your calc.

May go on a trip with my wife. This year will be our 50th anniversary.
