Bowling in a Pro Shop trio summer league, what ball to choose?

Starting a 13 week summer league and you pay lineage plus a ball fee and you get a ball at the end of the season / or when you've paid the entire season's fee's if you want it early.

Here are the balls available and the added price per week :

Blue Hammer since I skipped the urethane era, throwing rubber from 1975 to 2008. Do I need to explain that I didn't take the game all that seriously for a long time?

Actually the Burgundy is on my short list, I only ever knew one guy with an original blue, he threw it for years and years until it cracked. Back in the urethane days the burgundy was king.

Went and shot a few games there and talked to the pso, they use a lot less oil here than my home house, so I'll be interested to see what the popular balls are around here.

He got a new ball, also blue and finished the year out, then he quit bowling.

Said it was because the team was disbanding, heck of a way to cover up the loss of the only bowling ball he ever loved.....

Talked to the GM and PSO, they will allow me to choose any ball they carry.

I really like a couple of balls not on the list, Dare Devil Trick and Marvel Pearl.

The downside of the Marvel would be waiting, and it's not a lot different than my Hy-road or IQ 30 balls.

I wouldn't join a league like that...because I have 9 undrilled balls in my closet.

AND...I plan on winning another ball in the bowlingball.com free ball giveaway....because I'm "due".

That aside, I'd go for a Lock or Nirvanna....one from those lines....probably the Nirvanna since it's a dollar cheaper.

Actually, I'd bowl in that league and let Iceman pick which ball he wants me to beat him with.

In that case...I WOULD join the league and request the Lane #1 DIFFerence....because I really, really want one....but cannot bring myself to pay $300 for a bowling ball.

The only problem, they don't carry Lane 1 balls, even if they did, your weekly amount is based on the cost of the ball, so it would still be a higher expense.

I've narrowed it down to Marvel Pearl, Dare Devil Trick or an Alpha Crux
The smarter choice might be the DD Trick since I have nothing that is close to that ball, the Crux is closer to the the Ebonite Warrior, and the Marvel is slotted as similar to the Hy Road / IQ 30 but it's supposed to be an awesome ball.

I guess I need to get in the 3 new balls league, no problem it would only be 50 a week or something !
