Bowling gloves

Anyone here use a just a bowling glove, not a wrist support. Do they help with extra grip/hold because of the palm, pointer & pinky being textured? Do they also help with a more secure release? I feel like it might keep me from trying to grip the ball or am I wrong?

I tried one years back (A Ebonite one), other than just making a fashion statement. I didn't really see much difference in my grip, rev's etc., I might would try one again (if I got it free or real cheap) just to see if there's any difference now since they've improved them a little bit I believe.

From several posts I've seen, The Elite Talon glove appears to be one of the best ones at the moment and reasonably priced.

Yeah, I kinda want to try one but they aren't the cheapest. Maybe a golf glove with fingers cut off? Lol

Those have been used (Pete Weber used one), All kind of depends on the grip material used. How well it would work.

I used to use gloves way back in the day I had a golf glove like PDW
uses but now days I do not use them anylonger.

They always made my hand sweat some so I finally decided enough
was enough and took it off and never looked back and realized that
they never really helped me that much anyway.

Now days I just use one of these on my index finger and it works
better for me than any glove that I tried in the past.

I tried the Tubro-Rev too, I kind of thought it wasn't soft enough to really grip the ball good. (Just a note a old finger insert will work just as well, thats where they got the idea for the rev.)

Wow....you guys know all the tricks ...lol...I have some of those ....I'll have to give it a try.
