Thread: That old thing....

    Default That old thing....

After "the go to ball" thread, this one came to mind. Who's got the oldest ball? You know that thing you never got rid of that you still pull out every now and then or still use regularly. Maybe it's cracked, ugly as sin, or you just can't get rid of it. Mine's a Brunswick Power Groove Reactive, I still use it. It's only 15 years old. I know you guys got a few that are way older than that!!!

I have a Brunswick Black Beauty 16 lbs. Got it when I was in high school in the early 60's. It's been redrilled now with a thumb slug and finger inserts. I used it for a couple of years as a great spare ball. Now use a Storm Mix urethane.

1987 Blue Pearl Hammer from Faball. Pre-EBI days. Also have a Columbia White Dot I bought in 1980. I gave it to my wife when she started bowling.

Storm virtual energy I've had for 7-8 years, and I think it was already on the market for like a year before I got it

I still have the Ebonite Signiture my dad got me in 1975. Used it exclusively until 2008. Would probably have to get it plugged and re-drilled to use it again.

My Dad started bowling in the late 1950's. He stopped in early 1980's. Same ball every year, a rubber Brunswick Black Beauty, conventional grip.
