See, now , this is what I need for that family fun center with its bone dry lanes, right?
No, not necessarily.
That's a big mistake a lot of players make thinking that since Urethane doesn't ""Hook"" that much it must be for dry lanes. Urethane is "Early" it makes it's move up (Reads the lane) in the front part of the lane, then it smooths out over the rest of the lane. It lets you control the pocket and keep the ball more in front of you (play straighter angles).

Well, in that video from Brunswick they have the part where the guy is comparing to throwing the Magnitude on the same conditions. That's what my ball looked like that night. I'd love something less jumpy for that condition.
And on that other video, I gotta say I'm impressed with how well the ball traveled through the pins for the low speed low rev bowler. So many ball reaction videos I see a lot more deflection than that.
That's fine, Just remember though they weren't bowling on "bone dry lanes" which was the condition you said you were seeing. Yes they were in a higher friction area of the lane, but that's not necessarily the same thing.
Mind you I'm not saying the ball wouldn't work for you. Just that you or any player should be cognizant of just what a Urethane is and when it should be used.
I liked how the ball looked for bowler #2 myself. I think she (bowler #2) was more representative of a lot average league bowlers than some I've seen in videos. And on that other video, I gotta say I'm impressed with how well the ball traveled through the pins for the low speed low rev bowler.
