    Right handed Stroker, high track ,about 13 degree axis tilt. PAP is located 5 9/16” over 1 3/4” up.Speed ave. about 14 mph at the pins. Medium rev’s.High Game 300, High series 798

    Can someone please explain what “hitting up,” means?

    Hitting up aka: Lift
    It's when you release the ball late , putting lift on the ball releasing it in an upward direction instead of out on the lane. It can cause the ball to over react, hook too early, bad rotation.

    In the past a lot of time players put lift or hitting up was done to make the balls hook, but with todays balls it makes them erratic.

    Watch the video below at about the 18 second mark. See him 'loft' the ball. Now watch his next release a few seconds later. He sets the ball down nice and smooth.
