Thread: What is the craziest split you've ever left?

Default What is the craziest split you've ever left?

As I ask this question, I think I might be at the top of the list. This past weekend, I left a 1,7,10. I went for it and ended up getting the 1,10.

    Split happens, right?

That is a weird leave, but the 1-7-10 isn't a split.

I've left the 3-4-6-7-9-10 before. Picked up 5 of the 6 pins. I have converted the Greek Church (4-6-7-9-10), considered to be the hardest split to pick up. But, I have never converted the 7-10.

Based on my app over the last 4 years, I have left the 3-7-9-10 once, a 4-6-9 once, and (not a split), but a 1-3-4-6-7 once - as a righty, not sure what happened there.

Yeah, anything with the head pin standing is considered a wash out. There should be an exception to the rule given the distance between the pins shouldn't there? Especially since it's way harder to pick up than the baby split. If I were a USBC card holder I'd file a grievance for you but I'm not just yet, not fair!

Arsenal consists of mainly 15# Motiv balls, I have several now and they are the bomb! Too many to list and carry. Still have a couple Hammer balls and my AMF RPM Swirl (old reliable) & 25+yr old Linds worth a mention
Currently 535+ Rev Rate @ 19 MPH (This probably needs to be updated, I think I've toned each down a click or two these days. I'm letting the ball do more of the work as I get older.)

Yeah. last week I had a 1,3,6,7,9 (not a split) and missed all of them...lol. same game left a 1,3,7 and only got the 3 (lefty going for the spare). same game left a 1,3,6,7 and only got the 3,6 going for it again. all that is the same game and none were actually splits.

I left a 5-7-10 once. The release felt funky, but the ball hooked into the pocket. I didn't expect a strike on it, but this was totally unexpected.

This year I left the 2-4-6-7-9-10. I left another split that I'd never seen before, too, but I can't recall what it was. Probably because I don't ever want to see it again.
