Thread: Too much sanding???

    Default Too much sanding???

I have been looking at some used balls in eBay and I find it funny when so many people are selling newer balls that "were only used for x amount of games". The ball looks in fairly good shape until you look at the close ups and all the labels/numbers are sanded off. Is it really necessary to sand so much or is it just people not knowing what they are doing?

If the labels are gone, the balls have probably been heavily used and sanded a lot or damaged and resurfaced that sort of thing. Of course someone not knowing what they are doing is a possibility too.

If the labels/logos that identify the ball are gone their not legal anymore, so no point in getting them.

Thanks, that's what I figured. Not going to risk it on ebay.
