Thread: Typical center hours in your area

Default Typical center hours in your area

Just a bit of curiosity - what are the typical hours for the bowling centers in your area?

Here in Austin, the "pure" bowling centers generally open at 9 and don't close until midnight or later, and even the family fun center style places are generally open by 11am. But I was in San Antonio on business recently, and thought I might swing by someplace for a quick couple games when I had an early finish one day. I was surprised to find that two of the nearby centers didn't open until 4! It does look like there are some others in the area with more "traditional" hours, but they weren't on my way. Just wondering if a place not opening until 4 is surprising to anyone else?

In the Woodstock Georgia area, it's usually around 10am til 11 during the week. On the weekend it's til 1 at least.

In the 80's I bowled at an 80 lane center. (Olympic Bowl, Rochester N.Y.) that was open 24/7. I saw a live finals telecast of the PBA there.

That reminds me of the 54-lane center we had here, that while I don't think was open 24/7, was open crazy late and had a good bar. When I was a kid, it was spoken of as this magical bowling center, and in college we spent many a late night there. Sadly, it ran into mismanagement issues, went through some phases of being a corporate chain, and eventually shut down. The place is a charter school, now.

Normally from 10am-11pm or so, not very long hours IMO, and from 8-11 is just drunks and stoners, no leagues either. Its gonna close in a few years, I'm surprised it's lasted this long

Our center is closed down on Monday and doesn't open until
3PM on Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and not
    until 6PM on Wednesday.

On saturday night it stays open until 11PM for cyber bowling
and the rest of the week it is 10PM closing time.

All of the centers in Vegas are in casinos. Typical hours are 8 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days, though there are are few that are open 24/7.

The bowling centers that are thriving around here, in Cincinnati, typically open at around 9 or 10am and close around 11pm or 12am on weekdays and stay open later (or even 24 hours) on the weekends.
