Our local Borders

Yesterday Kevin and I went to our local Borders store in Coral Springs Fl. like we do almost every Sunday and when we got there we saw a sign on the door saying that this location was closing. Wow we were shocked! It's just another sign to remind us of how bad our economy is. But on the positive side they had really good sales on the cd's and dvd's.

Bummer. Borders always has some awesome deals on books.

I think so far my city has lost:
Pier 1 Imports
Cheddars
Damons
Linens and Things
Atlanta Bread Company
probably some others I can't think of right now...
...and a Brunswick XL (I'm really torn up about them not building a new center down the road from the center my family owns....NOT!)

I'm hoping we can erase a few Starbucks as well. We really don't need one at every major intersection.

Yeah- the Borders we have has music and books so we'll have to go some where else to buy our music. Best Buy is close to us. We have also lost Linens and Things, and Atlanta Bread Company too. Field of Flowers and the K-Mart is also closing. We still have a Cheddars and Pier Import.
