Not bad. Been a pretty consistent start to the season.

Yeah been really consistent so far. 619, 549, 607, 65 and 595. the 549 were bone dry lanes. Low game this year is 177 and high game is 225.

We have another guy on our team that is averaging 220 so far this year and he has never had a 300 either so I think we both will get our first this year so kind of a race to see who gets it first. He started with the front 8 or so in game 1 last night and ended with a 269

Well it was an interesting night. We bowled one of the top average teams in the league again. 3 of the top 6 or 7 averages in our league are on that team. Game 1 they rolled 223, 234, 210, 243, and 246. Pretty hard to beat that. They won that one by 108. Game 2 they slipped up a little but we stunk up the joint and lost by 22. Game 3 they bowled pretty good but we were on that game and won by 137. Ended up taking total pins by 7 so went 3-4 against them tonight.
Lanes were very dry. Was hitting my mark good in warm-ups and hitting the pocket good so had high expectations. That feeling faded quickly when I when I couldn't carry. Was using the Uppercut so moved in a little but no luck. Tried moving out and still no luck. Dropped down to the Igniter and same thing. Tried 3 different lines and had been trying to watch the ball exit the pin deck but my speed was pretty high due to conditions and I was struggling to see it. Finally got a good eye on it and it dropped off right at the 8 pin. Earlier today I polished my Black Widow Gold on the spinner and glad I did. Grabbed that ball out of my bag for game 3 and started with 3 strikes. Got the ball way outside in the 4th frame and left a 1-3-7 and whiffed that one. Struck the next 6 frames then went high in the fill for a 2-8 that I converted. Talked to the PSO at the end of the night (we bowled his team) and we talked about a ball to fill that spot. Don't need it often so will likely just keep the BWG in my bag but will see. We have a bye next week.

Well tonight sucked. We had a bye and won 2 of 3. The one we lost we lost by 4 pins and I rolled a 151 that game. In warmups I threw almost all strikes so knew it would be a rough night. Always happens that way.
Lanes were pretty wet. Started with the Uppercut but kept leaving corner pins. Ball was deflecting pretty bad. Tried moving in to more oil and no better. Balled down to the polished Squatch outside in the dry but ball was inconsistent. Grabbed my Conspiracy solid that I hadn't used for a long time and got back into the oil but no luck with it either. Grabbed the Igniter for game 3 but no carry. Realized my release was messed up all night. Changed that up and got better but too late. Spare shooting was horrible too. Just a bad night.

Not a fun night. I just wasn't into it tonight. Really didn't even feel like going. Not sure if it was cause of my struggles last week or cause my body was sore today. Either way in warm-ups I kept tugging my shots. The other team had 8 guys and we had 6 so only got a couple of warm-up shots. The team we bowled I think has the lowest average in our league. We were giving them between 105 and 150 pins a game depending on who was in the lineup. But of course they bowled out their butts...lol. I forgot to get pics of the scoreboard so not sure what their scores were but their 1 guy rolled a 278 in game 1 and probably a 750 series. We had 1039 scratch in game 1 (208 average) and still lost by 12 pins. We ended up losing all 3 games to them. Spares? phew...whats that? Really need to step up my game cause this isn't fun.

My averages by game are 1) 204.00. Game 2) 175.375. Game 3) 198.625. Game 2 scores this year are 180, 177, 212, 191, 202, 141, 151 and 149. The last 3 week have been a struggle in game 2. Also just realized I had no marks in the 10th frame of any game tonight.

    Game 1: 223 (7strikes, 1 spare, 3 opens-1 split)

    Game 2: 149 (2 strikes, 4 spares, 4 opens-1 split)

    Game 3: 171 (4 strikes, 3 spares, 3 opens-1 split)

    Spares: 44% (8/18)

    Single pin spares: 37% (3/8)

So came to the conclusion that something at our center has changed. Some have adapted but I hear quite a few mentioning how different the lanes are. Tonight it seemed like at past the end of the pattern was bone dry. Tonight my ball was overhooking at the 10-13 board. Balled down and same thing. Couldn't keep it on the left side of the head pin. Moved out to the 7 board and went straight to the pocket. Couldn't use my Uppercut which works in the majority of conditions I see. Used it about 4 or 5 frames tonight and it didn't work in any of them. Tonight between the 2 teams I'd bet we left 20-25 splits. I saw at least 10-12 in the 2nd game alone. Lanes were hooking hard. We did see our first 300 tonight after 9 weeks in. One of the top average guys got it tonight. And my 2nd game struggles didn't pop up tonight. Instead it was the other 2 games. Although I scored decent in game 1 I had a couple of Brooklyns and just messy shots.

Not a bad night but still can't put 3 good games together and still missing too many easy spares. Blew a clean game in game 2 by missing a 3-6 in the 10th. Was able to stay clean in game 3 by covering a 6-8 split. Not easy for a lefty...lol.
Bowled a Bakers double Sunday (10 games so 5 for me). Forearm muscles were sore today but not sure it was from Sunday or what but either way they were sore. There are a few things I need to do every time up to get a good release and delivery. 1 is to point my left foot slightly outside. 2 is to be sure to start my arm motion at the same time my first foot moves. 3rd is to flick my wrist upwards at release. I often forget or mess up one of these. Today I wasn't getting the wrist flick. Ball was in the pocket but deflecting into the 8 pin. Started out at about the 6-7 board. Moved in to the 10 board and deflection was even worse. Changed to a ball with a little more length but no better. Moved back out to the 6-7 board and realized I wasn't getting the wrist action. Started getting that and was on the rest of the night. Never moved or changed anything after that. BTW-game 1 started with 3 pocket strikes then 3 opens, including a big 4.

    Game 1: 171 (5 strikes, 2 spares, 4 opens-1 split)

Position round tonight and we are 13th of 13 so had a bye. Have to score within 50 pins of our average scratch. We did that so got all 7 points and since the 2 teams ahead of us were only 1 and 2 points ahead respectively then we should be out of last no matter what...lol. Even if those teams went 4-3 we should at a minimum be tied with one for last...lol.
So we were on the end pair tonight. Started out with the Uppercut and had a good line but started losing it near the end of game 1 so switched to the Igniter. That worked well for most of game 2 but started coming across the nose so switched to the Black Widow Gold. That was going well till about mid game then started creeping higher and higher. Moved right but that just made it bite harder. Left a 4-7-10 one frame then followed that up with a 6-7-10. Untucked my pinky and then started coming in just a little light so tried the Igniter again with the pinky untucked. Flush pocket 7-10...ugh. Went back to the BWG and moved slightly left to finish strong. Spare shooting was still a struggle.

Your spare shooting wasnít absolutely horrible. You did miss two 7 pins and you had two splits where you didnít hit either pin. Thatís four bad atempts out of 14.

Just a bad night all around. Didn't really care to be there. Not sure why, just wasn't into it tonight. Struggled all night. Whole team pretty much struggled. I don't think any of us bowled our average tonight. One guy on our team has a 218 average and rolled 644 and I think he was the closest to his average on our team. He was the only 600 for us and we have him and another guy with about a 205 average then me and another guy both at 196.

Balls just wouldn't hook for me. Started with the Uppercut out around board 6 or 7 and kept hitting light. Slowed my speed by about 2 MPH and came across the nose. Switched to the Igniter and had a little miss room for awhile. Towards the end of the 2nd game that ball wouldn't hook either. Tried the Black Widow Gold and no better. Can't blame the balls or lanes though. I was just very inaccurate tonight. Probably the worst spare shooting this year and even my string of strikes had a few lucky breaks. I missed a 5 pin, 2 10's and a 6-10.
I have noticed that the last few outings the Uppercut just doesn't seem the same. Gonna re-surface it this week starting with a 500 and working my way up. Haven't put that many games on it since last time I did a full re-surface but gonna try it again since it just seems like a different ball now.
My 187 in the 1st game was a struggle. Had to finish strong to salvage that.

    Game 1: 187 (6 strikes, 2 spares, 3 opens-1 split)
