Default Dominated his first Varsity meet...

734! 29 frames clean. He squeaked passed an 8 pin that wiggled on the first shot but didn't fall. Very nice series his first day out back with the big boys finishing on top of them all. What more could you ask? They took all 4 points, still undefeated.

Awesome! Took me about 23 years of league bowling to get my first 700. Sounds like he is the real deal.

Practice practice practice! Lots of analysing video and now real coaches at the center I work. Working in the pro shop learning ball technology will help. He's got all the tools for success. He's just gotta keep doing what he's doing.

Let's just get him through high school first, a year and a half to go. Then college. For now, I'm just hoping for a sponsor so someone else can pay for all his bowling balls. LOL

Wait!... You're rich! What do you say Boaty? Wanna sponsor an up and coming youth bowler? I'll even call the hackers off.

Sorry couldn't resist. And this you being rich isn't going away. It's a thing now. Just saying

lol. Far from rich. My son used to race karts and was working towards either NASCAR or Indycar. He raced against a bunch of current Indycar drivers and a few NASCAR drivers but we couldn't afford to keep up with most of those he raced against (even others that didn't make it). We used to pit with Mark Dismore at nationals and he owned a kart shop and had a trailer full of parts. If he knew you well enough he would give you the parts and write it down in a notebook then send you a bill or you could just pay at the end of the weekend. I went up at the end of the weekend and asked how much I owed (about $600). Ryan Tucker (retired St. Louis Ram and Cleveland Brown) was right behind me and handed Mark a check for $3000 and told him to just bill him for the rest...lol. On a side note Tucker told Mark to give him a t-shirt. Mark asked what size and Ryan said 4x (he was about 6'6 and 300lbs). Mark laughed and said 'no seriously, what size'? Tuckers wife said, no seriously, 4x...lol

Sweet! So that's a yes! Obviously racecars a far more expensive it's clear that's out of reach. Your point was bowling is much more affordable right? Thanks Boaty! I'll let my son know right away!

Bowling is definitely cheaper than racing. But because of racing I'll be working until I'm 90....lol

Sounds like we're both on the Buzz Light-year retirement plan. Work to infinity and beyond! That's okay. I'd rather that over staring out a window at Sunny Acres retirement home waiting for the Grim Reaper to knock on my door.
