Agreed. Looks pretty bad where I thought I was in pretty good shape...lol. Sent these pics to a girl my wife works with that is a certified Ritger coach. Might see if I can get her to come work with me but like you said, I'm bowling the best I ever have except for some missed spares.

Watched a couple more clips then realized something that might have caused this. I tuck my pinky about 99% of the time (except spares). When I tuck it I feel I am flattening my wrist and rotating my arm because of it. Gonna get some more practice this week and try untucking it and get more video to see if it is any better. I feel I get quite a bit more carry when it's tucked so have been doing that for over a year now. Not realizing or understanding that the side roll (high rotation) is causing my ball to skid much longer maybe that is why I am having trouble when I get deeper into the oil? In my head I'm thinking I need it tucked thinking it is helping my ball to hook harder when I'm actually delaying the hook too long for the heavier oil on the inside lines?
Hopefully I'm on the right track here cause if so it's starting to all click in my head.

I've tucked my pinky for as long as I remember. The man who taught me how to bowl did it. I don't know the logic why he had me do it, he just did. All I know is that I have on occasion tried not to and it felt like I was going to break my pinky off.

Needless to say I just instinctively do it, every strike ball and every spare. It's one of those things that feels natural, doesn't seem to hurt anything so I just keep doing it. Until a coach says there is a good reason not to I'll probably keep doing it. I'll probably keep doing it even if they tell me my hand will fly off if I do it one more time. It's been going on too long

I was told that your pinky can act as a brake on rotation since it's the last finger that leaves. Pinky tucked - no brakes. Pinky up next to your ring finger - drag brake. Pinky spread out - lots of brakes, kills rotation.

    Not 100% but illustrative. . .

So now that I have my PAP from a PSO I'm playing around checking the layouts on my other balls. Problem is I'm using electrical tape to get my markings so I know it's not 100% accurate but then again neither am I...lol.
So on my Igniter my VAL line almost matches up with my pin to PAP line so ~10*. Does this sound right? I'm getting 45*x6.125x10*. Ball rolls nice and turns nice down lane and works good on a dryer line.

The new Raw Hammer pearl checked out to be about 60x6.25x28

Haven't thrown the Raw Hammer enough to get a good read on it but seems to be working good later in the night with a little more back end than the Igniter.

My PAP is 4.75x0 if that matters. And I printed a protractor out on paper and cut it out to get my angles....lol

All in fun just out of curiosity but though it was weird having my PAP and VAL be the same line?

I'll get pics and post them
