Default A memory from the past.......

I decided to take a peek at the Bowling Honor Roll that we have on this Forum. I glanced at the ones that are on there recently just to see what good games people are getting. After looking at a few I decided to see if I could find any that I put on there. I found a couple on there from a while back. The best one I found was from 1-19-2013. I sure did something right that night. I bowled a 220, 214 and a 247 for a 681 series. I wish I could hit games like that now. My highest league game recently was a 211.

That night everything just clicked. It seemed like I had a grove in both alleys where every time I made a shot something good happened. I guess that I had a lot of strikes in all three games. According to what I wrote I got a lot of high fives from my teammates and even from the team we bowled. They said that it was exciting watching me bowl. Even teams that were around our lanes where we were bowling on gave me high fives and congrats.

I am sure anyone that is on this forum can remember a great night of bowling you had where you couldn't do anything wrong. Sometimes on nights like this you feel like you can close your eyes and still get a strike or a good shot for a spare. This is what keeps us going in bowling to see how good we can get and what will be the highest game that we can get or the highest scratch series we can get. Age has finally caught up to me but I am still out there on league bowling the best that I can. I still can get those 200 games though so I will keep on rolling as they say.

Yep. Bowled a 725 about a year ago and seemed effortless. I commented a few times recently where I bowled a 650 or so but really had to work at it. Makes you appreciate those nights when the ball just rolls to the pocket

Speaking of memories of the past...our local center about a mile away from me closed down about 15 years ago and is now a feed store/landscape, etc. Stopped in there today to get salt for the pending ice storm. First time I had been in there since it shut down. This is the place Mark Roth ran for a short time around 2002. It closed shortly after he left. The back was walled off where the lanes used to be but the front did not look familiar at all
