Default Had a good night on the lanes

Went last night and shot 12 games. My speed it back up to it's happy place. Not what it used to be but more than adequate. I worked on staying behind the ball through my release and coming out of it on time. It rolled really nice, revs were up and it was reacting stronger than it has in a long time.

Not only that but in12 games I missed a total of 4 spares. I made all my corner pin spares. I'm very pleased. One spare was an ugly washout 1-2-4-6-10 which being silly went at it cross lane. It was pure luck but looked damn pretty! It was nice to be out there firing on all cylinders again.

In these days where "new hip joint" means something completely different than a new place to hang out on a Friday night, I'm happy to report I'm pain free. I'm very pleased overall.

Glad you are getting the progress you want and back to normal. I had both hips done in one year and it took some time to get back where I felt confident again. It's nice being pain free. Steve

As long as I don't do anything stupid again I feel very confident I'll be okay now. My stubbornness to not accept limitations and drive to get better is what has saved me twice now. I worked my butt off every day with the exercises and threw everything I had into fixing the problem. I've beaten the odds but I sure as hell don't want to go through it a third time.

I have to be a little smarter and realize I'm not 20 anymore and not do things I'll regret by doing more than I should. Father time will win in the end but so far it's phonetek 2, Father time 0. I need to keep it that way.

Bowling was never the cause of my injuries. Besides a muscle pull or popped callus now and again. Both times it's been work related. It's clear that I should just quit working... Nah, that will never happen. I love it too much. I'm just glad to be doing what I love in my job and bowling once again. I'm glad it had a happy ending.

Now... If I can just keep putting up numbers like I have when it counts, then I'll have something to talk about. In the meantime I'll keep pressing on trying to get better and better.
