Man, how do you leave the 3-4-5-7? it looks like it would be impossible. That 2-4-6-7-8-10 in the last frame is pretty weird too.

Oh, and LEFTY!!!
Not too bad when you consider you had 7 opens and 5 of them were splits.
Yeah those splits killed me. But I think I was more frustrated with the teams performance overall. At least 3 weeks in a row now we win the first 2 then game 3 we can't buy a strike. It's usually the whole team too, not just 1 or 2 of us. There are other frustrations too but we all contribute to our bad games so I don't want to point the finger at one person but just gets frustrating when you see a pattern and nothing changes.

Oh, and LEFTY!!!
Same problem here man.
My Wednesday team has an anchor that LOVES to drink. And, the more he drinks, the worse he bowls. He's been on the team longer than I have and he's a 200 average bowler when he's sober. But that only lasts 1-2 games and then he's throwing a 120s game. Our "kid" bowler is a thumbless bowler and....like most thumbless bowlers that are not in good physical shape...his game tends to fall off as the night progresses. That type of approach requires a lot of moving parts and trying to keep your shot the same...when you're physically getting tired...is not optimal. So every 3rd game he stops striking and throws a temper tantrum.
The only reason our team has managed to win (I think we finally won the league this season)...is that I tend to get better as the night goes on and so does our captain/lead bowler. The captain usually has a bad first game. I usually have a bad second game because my shot starts to go away and I have to figure out whether to adjust or make a ball change....then get re-alligned.
But, the captain knows that our anchor doesn't bowl well when he gets drunk...but I don't think he wants to say anything because he's been our anchor for years and he doesn't want to have to find someone to replace him. And he's a good teammate otherwise.

Smokey this is not 'Nam', this is bowling. There are rules. Proud two-time winner of a bowlingboards.com weekly ball give-away!
Yeah nobody on our team drinks much but a few years ago I had a teammate that was totally drunk by game 3 and would drop 30-40 pins. I bowled a doubles with him once figuring it started at 9:00AM so he'd be ok. Nope. He started drinking before the first ball was thrown and by game 3 was staggering.
The guy we have now is a 170 average bowler that throws urethane then complains his ball won't hook and he doesn't get any carry. 3 years of this now...lol. I told him last week if he is gonna throw urethane he better bring his spare ball. I usually let people bowl and don't try to 'coach' them but I'm gonna try to talk him out of urethane tomorrow night. He has other options but seems to always gravitate towards his urethane.

Oh, and LEFTY!!!
Tonight was position round for the final 3rd. We were in 3rd before the night started with no chance of catching 1st and the 2nd place team was 5 pts ahead of us so our only chance of catching them was for us to go 7-0 and them go 0-7. They won their 1st game so we couldn't catch them at that point. We were 3 pts ahead of the team we bowled (4th place) so we needed to win at least 1 game cause we would have got the tie-breaker. We won game 1 by over 100 pins then won game by even more. Lost game 3 but took total pins to go 5-2. 3rd to 8th place was very tight but given we went 5-2 nobody could catch us from behind. A guy to our left had the front 10 and rolled 288 and would have been his first 300. Then a guy on our right had the front 10. He has a 245 average and has had probably 30 or so 300's and he is only about 27. He rolled 287.
One thing we noticed...there were only 2 300's thrown this year and both were against us.
Another note...I'm starting to like this Ember. But my team (me included) needs to get better at transition and spare shooting. My spare shooting isn't bad but could be better but we all struggle with transition.
Tonight I threw the Altered Reality game 1 then switched to the Ember games 2 and 3.
Next week is our end of season in house tournament then done till next season.
