Got to meet Norm Duke in person today.......
A friend of ours was in a handicapped bowling tournament today at Hillside Bowling Lanes in Chicago. She told us that we should come and see her bowl because Norm Duke was going to be there. That was all I needed to know. So my wife and I went to watch her. When we first got there Norm was on the approach with two guys that were running the tournament. So Norm said a few things and was coming off the approach towards me. So of course I shook his hand and talked to him for a while. I told him I watched him bowl the first time he was in the PBA. He bowled against Earl Anthony his first time out. I told him I have watched him since he began bowling in the PBA. I got to talk to him more later and longer than I did the first time. The last time I saw him I got my picture taken with him. A lot of people there were talking with him and having a picture taken with him. He was very accommodating and just an all around nice guy like he always has been whenever I watched him bowl which was for years. It was great to meet him face to face. I enjoyed it a lot.

I bowled at a couple PBA50 pro ams and I think Norm was present at least one. I don't think I ever got paired up with him though.
Bowling is an interesting sport...the pros, especially the PBA50 and PWBA bowlers are amazingly approachable and very nice.
