I have a big interview coming up this Thursday...so crossing my fingers and will say my prayers. Only downside will be having to relocate and find a new bowling center/new leagues/new teams. And, from my early reconassaince, it looks like this location has limited center available. I think there is an center that has 8-16 lanes and another similar sized one about 35 minutes away. Moving from a city of 40,000 to a city of 8,000. Looks like the nearest, decent-sized center is just over an hour away. Yikes.
You may have to switch sports to Pickleball or Cornhole

I'm hoping the frustration is over. The other day I said screw it and texted my PSO and told him to drill up a new ball for me. I was verbally told 2 weeks ago they were going to make me an offer but after 2 weeks I was starting to lose faith.
Aslan, best of luck on your interview. I hate interviewing but I have gotten better at it. Take a look at the STAR method and try to use that. I feel it helped me. 20 years ago you could say 'well I had this problem and fixed it'. Now they was the (S)ituation, (T)ask, (A)ction, (R)esult. When I first started interviewing 6 months ago I was just saying 'well I fixed this problem'. After awhile I started using the STAR method and I could tell the interviewer was more attentive.

I used to shoot skeet as a kid. We lived in the country on 5 acres and my Dad was a big sportsman. He had a few skeet throwers. I was pretty good. My Dad would usually go 24/25...but I was close...and it probably annoyed is friends and coworkers that would come out and shoot and get beat by a 10-year old. They started throwing 2 discs at a time, which was more challenging for me especially...because I was shooting a single-shot junior 20-guage. So I'd impress them by shooting one disc, taking a shell out of my mouth and reloading, then shooting the second one. As a teenager I upgraded to a 12-guage pump...much easier, but less impressive.

The highlight of my shooting 'career' was when I shot two ducks with one shot while duck hunting. They were Teal...which are a smaller duck than most other types...and they fly faster. I took one shot and they both dropped. It was probably a "bad" shot because I must've not led the lead duck enough...due to the faster flight speed...but got enough of it to drop it...and enough of the other duck to drop it.

I don't shoot much anymore. I still have tinnitus as a constant reminder...and a reminder to wear hearing protection.
