    Default This week Monday's games...

I haven't been here in a long time. At 78 years old I can still get good games but not consistently. So on this weeks senior league day I bowled a 174, 154 and a 190. Doesn't sound like much but my old body limits me but I can still make a normal approach. I play closer to the foul line until I warm up and then play further back from the foul line so I can get more speed on the shot. I can play all angles on the lane. I still use my Hammer urethane ball and my Hammer orange/black hybrid ball. I also bring my Hammer plastic ball. On our senior league I have the highest average and the highest scratch game of 216. I have the highest series of 536 for three games. I will be 79 soon. I still like the fact that I can play straight if I have to or I can move right near the gutter with my slide foot and I can throw it left and still make it to the pocket for a strike. On the first Monday of the start of the season I stayed to the right throwing the ball over the fourth arrow and was able to get four strikes in a row. One of my best pick ups this Monday was a the 7/4 pins.My average at this time is 170 and we only finished 5 Mondays. By the way I never practice anymore because I am a senior on a fixed income. I love bowling and have been doing it for 42 years. I want to stick with it as long as I can. I am only 5'/6" and weigh 145 pounds. That helps me at this age for sure. A lot less stress on my sliding leg. I am left handed by the way. Happy bowling everyone.

    Good going!

Rumor has it the the center where I bowl lets you open bowl for free if you’re over 80.

I am going to be 79 the beginning of February so I have a little ways to go before I go over 80. I hope I can still bowl when I go over 80. The way I look at it is I have more years behind me than I have left ahead of me. Good luck on your bowling.
