Florida Bowler, you don't have to make this a Florida, Georgia, thing. I'm a Seminoles fan myself. I'm not sure you understand this thing. If you keep replying I can't win, and nobody wants that. LOL.

I signed a letter of intent to play left defensive end there in '87. Got hurt in a charity baseball game and lost my scholarship. Worked out well. 10 days after emergency knee surgery I was in Basic Training. Bobby Bowden was great during the whole ordeal and even said if I could prove a full physical return to ability he would get me my scholarship back. He was also the only coach willing to let me play baseball AND keep me at defensive end. At only 6' and 268 lbs at the time with a 40 yard dash time of 4.36 most wanted me to move to linebacker. Baseball was always my first love and didn't play football until my sophomore year of high school. Turns out I was a natural for it and loved getting to hit people. Coach tried me at Tight End also playing me there on offense but I could only make the hard catches, the easy ones I dropped, go figure. Plus I didn't like blocking as much as getting around or through the blocker.
