Wow, that went a day and a half. Bill must have thought he won.
I packed my chute and ready to go. I haven't qualified in a very long time.

The never ending story thread has every one distracted. Almost had me excited thinking I would get to jump again.

Who needs a chute when you are on top, all the others can cushion your fall
I don't plan on falling, so no chute needed.

Part of my job use to be lat man out to make sure everybody's chute opened. Luckily we only had a jam once. We jumped at 52,000 feet with a pre-determined opening of 2,000 feet. I caught the other guy at 1,200 feet and had both of our chutes open by 1,000 feet. We hit hard but at least we didn't go SPLAT!

Wow. That is one cool job. I have gone skydiving twice. The only reason I haven't gone again is because of the cost. And because I'm married and my wife and daughter don't want me risking my life. But I'll be patient. My daughter is bound to be an adrenaline junky like her father.

The only time it wasn't so much fun was when we were getting shot at. My first night jump I was looking at my altitude and it dawned on me, "made by lowest bidder". I was a little anxious until I hit the ground that time.

Yeah, I think I'll keep the getting shot at part down to the minimum. And since I'm a beginner, my next few jumps will be tandem, so I'll let the pro worry about the equipment. I just need to do what I'm told and enjoy. Do you still get a thrill when you jump?

I haven't jumped in years and miss it terribly. Tore the hell out of my knee and don't think I could land without doing serious, irreversible damage. I have over 300 jumps. The strange part is, I'm afraid of heights. I think it's a control thing though because after the first jump I wasn't scared, I had control. Now get me up on a high bridge or edge of a building roof, where I can't control it collapsing and I get nervous. Rapelling, bungee jumping, sky diving, plane or helicopter rides don't phase me. Man, I really am strange.
