they flat out rejected our offer, saying it was too low. So we bumped up our offer by 5 grand. Then we got an answer back that another offer had come in...so the bank wanted us to submit our highest offer and they'd pick between us and the other offer.

Now we found another foreclosure for $49,900 and it's in great condition. So we left our offer for the other house at 80,000. If the bank takes it, then fine, if they don't we're going to put in an offer on the other house Saturday.

All in all, it's frustrating and I have a lingering headache

No wonder it is so fustrating trying to find somewhere we had all this when we moved from aberdeen to cheltenham. it seems to take an age then it picks up seed and you dont have time to think with packing an all. So I am thinking of you. just take it easy.

update time, the bank rejected our offer of 80,000 for the newer house...which we hoped they would. We got a call from the listing agent from the 49,900 foreclosure to let us know that another offer had been placed on that property. The agent wanted to see if we were interested and give us the opportunity to put in an offer as well. Not wanting to lose this house, we put in an offer of 55,000...5,100 more than the asking price. Hopefully our offer is more than the other one, and the bank will accept it. I don't want to lose out on another house, especially this one, the price can't be beat!

lost another house. I'm beginning to think that the real estate agents around here have deals going with investors....so that any time we put a bid in on a property...someone else is alerted and given the opportunity to counter.

looking at more houses this weekend :/

I am so sorray to here that but keep your head up you will find your perfect house and you will be glad that you didnt get any of the others. Good luck for the weekend.
