your wife sounds about like me...I hate severe weather, my husband makes fun of me for running down to the basement while he's sitting outside watching funnel clouds.

Our town has some unfortunate history with tornadoes.....so I'm a chicken lol

I think I just watched a documentary about that Illinois-Indiana outbreak, on one of the Learning channels. Very interesting stuff.

We are lucky here as we dont get that bad weather, mind it tends to rain for days

an F-4 hit our high school right around the time school dismissed.
The high school is still there....I went to that high school lol
We had some nasty storms come through one afternoon while I was at the high school for a track meet.....my mom came up and took me home and told me about how she walked that very field after the tornado rolled through and she found a boy with a 2x4 jammed through his leg.

We got hit with 2 smaller tornadoes last year....and a funnel cloud this year back in April, that never developed into anything.
scary stuff, especially when you've grown up hearing the horror stories from the 67 tornado.

Wow that is some storms, glad we dont have them like that, like I said we complain when it rains for a few hours, but that is brishish for you ???
