you'd be surprised. That particular recipe has you run the oats through a blender. The oats get ground up pretty fine...so the cookies don't have a chunky texture....but the oats add good flavor.

Well if you put up the recipe then I may try to make some as I am sure my wife and grand kids would soon eat them if I dont like them.

I see Neiman Marcus actually released their cookie recipe as a response to the hoax email.
The Neiman Marcus recipe is different from the hoax recipe......but the hoax recipe was awesome. The link above is for the hoax recipe.

If you really hate oatmeal that much....then try the actual Neiman Marcus cookie recipe:

this one doesn't call for oats, but rather, instant espresso coffee powder.

Thanks yes I will try that one instead. I dont like oats as when I was growing up my mum was not the best of cooks and oats was not one of the best items she could cook with and we had to eat it or go without, I have touched it from then.

ah......understandable. I've got a stigma with ramen noodles. We went through a poor period where we ate ramen almost exclusively for a few months. Never eaten them since.

    Being poor sucks.
But it definitely teaches you to appreciate the things you have.
