PBA Tour Stars Team Up with New York Knicks at Knicks Bowl 10

New York, N.Y. (April 3, 2009) – Lumber Liquidators PBA Tour stars and U.S. Open competitors Sean Rash and Dino Castillo teamed up with Law & Order’s Anthony Anderson, S. Epatha Merkerson, the Soprano’s Vincent Pastore, Big Love’s Chloe Sevigny and the entire New York Knicks basketball team to participate in Knicks Bowl 10, in support of the Garden of Dreams Foundation at Chelsea Piers in Manhattan on Thursday.

“We met Anthony Anderson, Nate Robinson and the rest of the New York Knicks. Sean and I gave them all a few pointers on our hardwood,” said Castillo. “We were very happy to represent the Professional Bowlers Association and support Knicks Bowl 10 and the Garden of Dreams Foundation.”

Garden of Dreams works closely with all areas of Madison Square Garden, including the New Knicks, Rangers, Liberty, MSG Media, MSG Entertainment and Fuse “to make dreams come true for kids in crisis”. In the two years since its inception, Garden of Dreams has worked to fulfill its mission by creating unique and unforgettable events and activities - often involving exclusive access to Madison Square Garden celebrities, events and venues - that have brightened the lives of thousands of special children and their families.

“It was an unbelievable opportunity for Dino and myself to rub shoulders with some of our favorite actors and these first-class NBA athletes to help raise funds for kids,” said Rash. “Everyone at Chelsea Piers treated us just like the New York Knicks. As soon as people found out PBA Tour players were in the house, we were asked for autographs and bowling tips.”

Partnering with a diverse collection of outstanding children’s related organizations – from hospitals, to foster organizations, to homeless shelters and “wish” organizations, the Garden of Dreams Foundation has a singular goal each and every day – to utilize the power and magic of Madison Square Garden and its properties to bring joy and happiness to children facing devastating problems – whether they relate to illness, homelessness, poverty, foster care issues or tragedy.
