    Default Shopping for bowling shirts?

Are there any good websites out there any of you would recommend?

I'd like to get a shirt with my last name embroidered on it...for use in tournaments.
I've got one from high school....but it's got my maiden name on it, it's time to replace that shirt.

I've done some looking around...but I'm having a hard time finding websites that don't have tacky, retro shirts...I'm looking for something less flamboyant.

have you checked with any local shops? I've found often they can be cheaper than online...not to mention you will be stimulating your local economy which is always a bonus.

    just some thoughts...

yeah, my local pro shops don't carry much for apparel.....women's apparel anyway.

They've always got tons of huge men's shirts, but they're lacking in shirts for women.

I may just buy a polo and take it to a local embroidery place.

There's a woman in the northwest that does that, but I'll have to do some digging to find the site. She's "mumzie" on BR, and her name is Sandy something or other. I'll see if I can find it.

I looked on the bowl.com....I like the shirts with the USBC's logo on them.
Do you have to be a pro shop owner, bowling proprietor, or leader of your local organization to order those shirts or can anyone order them?

I'm fairly certain that anyone can order. They just want the cash. We've never bought apparrel, though. Just jewelry, bears and Christmas ornaments.

Here's the link to the other shirt place: http://www.shirts4bowling.com/ Hope you find what you're looking for.

    Jord,

I was referring to local embroidery shops or decal design shops. They will often do shirts, my local pro shop doesn't carry apparel at all! so when we want a shirt we walk down the street to the design lady, and she pulls out a book and can whip them all up.

Often you can find a shirt you want at another store and they'll do the embroidering for you...the only problem with this is they won't guarantee the work due to the shirt not being purchased through them, ie they won't be able to get you the exact replacement...

sorry, hope this clarify's my previous statement

lol yeah, unfortunately....there's no embroidery places in my town. I've got some ideas of where to look.

I've used Bowling Concepts a couple of times to purchase name shirts for PBA events. They've got a pretty wide selection of shirts and will also do custom embroidery. They can be a little pricey, depending on what you order, but the work has been top-notch.

My wife uses a small mom-and-pop place down in Tuscon that does awesome embroidery for our Nationals teams shirts. I don't believe they have a web site, but I could get contact information for you.

I would say just go to a store and find a polo that looks like your style and get it embroidered. If you have a brand you like such as ebonite, storm, etc, check out their website for some ideas.
